Sex & Cannabis

A workshop designed to help guide participants toward learning new ways to think about and enhance their pleasure with cannabis by gaining a better understanding of their own desires, the sexual response cycle, and the influence that cannabinoids and terpenes have on these elements of human sexuality.

Annie Merrill, M. Ed

Annie Merrill (she/her) has a Master of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University and is the founder of Sex Ed Seeds, a sexuality education organization based in Philadelphia, PA, offering in-person and remote workshops around the country. She has experience in the sex toy industry and developing curriculum around pleasure, anatomy, consent & communication, and the intersection of sex and cannabis for audiences of all ages. She also currently works as a sexuality and behavioral consultant for adults across Southeastern Pennsylvania who are neurodivergent and/or have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Wascar Ramirez, M. Ed

Wascar A. Ramirez, MEd, is a graduate researcher in the Center for Human Sexuality Studies at Widener University. They are currently pursuing their PhD in human sexuality and their MSW. Wascar is passionate about bridging sex education gaps for Black, Hispanic, and queer populations and loves discussing topics relating to BDSM and kink, reproductive justice, and the intersection between cannabis and sexuality.Wascar also won the James J. Duane III Student Life Leadership award (Lehigh University) for their work on the art therapy influenced artivism project ‘Be Your Own’ where Lehigh community members created art exploring the various intersections of their sexual and gender identities.
